Olympic Handball Ireland is pleased to announce the establishment of a new Olympic Handball club in Tipperary Town, with training sessions based at St Ailbe’s School Hall.

The initiative marks an important step in the continued development of the sport nationwide, bringing one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-paced indoor games to a new community.

Opening sessions have been structured to cater for multiple age groups:

🕕 Under 12 & Under 14: 6.00pm – 7.00pm
🕖 Under 16 & Under 18: 7.00pm – 8.00pm

All young players are welcome to attend, regardless of previous experience. A small contribution will be requested to assist with hall hire costs.

The club is being led locally by Paul Sexton, whose vision extends beyond the initial launch. Plans are already underway to introduce a dedicated session for children with Special Educational Needs following Christmas, alongside the formation of an adult club as part of the next phase of development.

This expansion reflects Olympic Handball Ireland’s commitment to growing the sport across the country and embedding handball within local sporting communities. With seven clubs currently registered nationwide, the addition of Tipperary represents further positive momentum for the game.

We look forward to supporting the growth of handball in Tipperary and welcoming new players to our vibrant and inclusive community.
